About Volume Booster

Volume Booster is an iOS app from Appcellent. It plays your own music and audio files louder than the phone's normal maximum, with a bass booster, a 6-band equalizer and playback speed control. It's free to try and ad-free.

Why we built it

Plenty of recordings are simply mastered too quietly — podcasts, lectures, voice memos, old home video. Your phone is at maximum and it still isn't enough, because the file is the limitation rather than the hardware. We built a player that fixes that specific problem.

What we won't claim

Almost every app in this category advertises a "200% system boost" on iPhone. That isn't something iOS permits: no app can raise the system volume or touch another app's audio. Volume Booster amplifies what it plays itself, which is a real and useful thing, and we'd rather say exactly that than inflate it. If your phone is quiet for a different reason, our guides will fix it for free.
